Hi! My name is Erin Claussen. Since moving to Toledo, Ohio in the spring of 2015, I have fallen in love with this Rustbelt city's beautiful architecture. I am trained as an archaeologist and work as a real estate developer and historic preservation and cultural resource management consultant, as the founder and principle of my firm, Toledo Revival. I spend a good deal of my time practicing and advocating for historic preservation as a tool for redevelopment and revitalization.
I am also a huge design nerd and am almost as passionate about reutilizing old furniture, decor, clothing and jewelry as I am old buildings. I love the thrill of the hunt and hit up estate and garage sales and thrift shops every chance I get.
Proceeds from sales go towards the rehab into apartments and commercial space of the 1900 "Hotel Royal" building on the south side of downtown Toledo that we purchased in early 2017, as well as our 1923 Tudor Revival home, and other historic preservation efforts here in Toledo, Ohio.
Thank you for visiting my shop and supporting my efforts to save all the old things. :)
